Abstract: The given article deals with such significant and modern aspect of foreign languages teaching as the conditions of higher efficiency of senior high school pupils’ logical thinking. As is generally known, successful acquisition of a foreign language as an abstract sign system requires a sufficient level of theoretical reasoning development. The latter, in particular, is regarded to be a criterion of the efficient logical organization of the written competence, which tends to arouse difficulties among pupils. To our mind, one of the most efficacious ways of logical thinking promotion is the usage of the advanced graphic organizers, aimed at the incitement of such intellectual operations as generalization, comparison, classification, analysis, synthesis and abstraction.

Having critically analyzed theoretical sources and got acquainted with the general and positive experience of the teachers on the abovementioned problem, we have developed a four-week-programme of the creative writing learning of the senior high school pupils, namely the 11th form with the aim of heightening the level of the logic culture. The results of the pilot training have proved the programme to be a success since the logical thinking level of the pupils has increased in terms of such parameters as the correspondence of the essay content to the communicative task, the completeness of the topic revelation, consistency of the material presentation and rational usage of the logical means of coherence.

Thereby, the necessity of practical implementation of the graphic organizers in the process of creative writing teaching among senior high school pupils with a view to heighten their logic culture level is being validated in the present research both theoretically and practically.
